On the eve of Romania's entry into NATO, Prime Minister Adrian Nastase met with Rabbi Arthur Schneier and affirmed Romania's commitment to democratic reform and participation in the war against terrorism.
Rabbi Schneier also met with Foreign Minister Mircea Geoana, Minister of Culture Razvan Theodorescu, Patriarch Teoctist of the Romanian Orthodox Church, Chief Rabbi Hacohen, Rabbi Safran, Rabbi Moses Rosen, Professor Cajal, leaders of the Jewish community, Catholic Archbishop Ioan Robu, Metropolitan Daniel of Iasi, and leaders of the Protestant and Muslim community who pledged to work together with the Appeal of Conscience Foundation to advance dialogue and tolerance.
