New York, NY, Feb 10, 2006 -- Rabbi Arthur Schneier met with His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, and Archbishop Barsamian, Primate of the Armenian Church in America, to discuss religious freedom and tolerance in Armenia and the Caucasus. The meeting was the latest chapter in the longstanding relationship between the Appeal and the Armenian Church:for more than two decades Rabbi Schneier has worked on issues of religious cooperation and conflict resolution in the Caucasus with the leaders of the Armenian Church---Vasken, Karekin I and now Karekin II.

Archbishop Barsamian is also a trustee of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation.
