Jul 13, 2006 -- New York, NY---The Appeal of Conscience Foundation today announced the honorees of its 2006 Annual Awards Dinner, to be held on Tuesday, Sept 19 in New York City.
His Excellency Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, President of Brasil will receive the Appeal of Conscience World Statesman Award; Bonnie McElveen-Hunter, former US Ambassador to Finland and Chairman of the American Red Cross the Appeal of Conscience Public Service Award; and John A. Catsimatidis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Red Apple Group, the Appeal of Conscience Award. Rabbi Arthur Schneier, President of the ACF, remarked that, "These three individuals are extraordinarily accomplished in their respective fields and we are very pleased to honor them for their life commitment to cause-related work and their dedication to making the world a better, safer, and more democratic place to live for all."
