Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, Co-Sponsor of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, meets with Rabbi Arthur Schneier, President of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation and member of the UN Alliance of Civilizations High Level Group, during the two day conference in Istanbul, November 12-13, 2006. They discussed ways to bridge the divide between Islam and the West, the Middle East, and Turkey's entry into the European community.
