Dr. Heinrich v. Pierer, President and CEO of Siemens AG, received the 2001 Appeal of Conscience Award.  
The 2001 ACF World Statesman Award was presented to President Kim Dae-jung of the Republic of Korea. His Excellency Han Seung-soo, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea and President of the UN General Assembly accepted the Award on behalf of President Kim Dae-jung.
