Rabbi Schneier Meets with King Abdullah II (Shown in Photo) Rabbi Arthur Schneier, President of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, discusses the Appeal’s recent Peace and Tolerance II Conference in Istanbul with King Abdullah II of Jordan, following last week’s National Prayer Breakfast of religious leaders in Washington, D.C.

Rabbi Schneier applauded the King for his courageous stand against extremists and for the Jordanian people’s protests against terrorism following the recent attacks in Amman, Jordan. Terrorist attacks, Abdullah remarked, are "an attack upon civilization." Of terrorist groups, he said “Theirs is a repugnant political ideology which violates the principles and statutes of traditional Islamic law." Rabbi Schneier called King Abdullah, “A vital bridge between the Muslim and non-Muslim worlds.”
